Just before the Monica Lewinsky scandal broke, I was in Europe watching an interview between a C.N.N anchor, Fidel Castro and a visiting Pope. Fidel said: "When I was a boy I attended Catholic school. Children who were darker than I could not become priests. I asked why and could not get an answer. So I asked, 'Didn't God create all en equal? So between birth and adolescence, who introduced the inequality of men? AGAIN NO ANSWER." Fidel said that he decided at an early age that he had to find a way to make sure that every Cuban had a level playing field at education. He said that for that, he is ostracized by the "Great Powers" that took poor people's gold, labour and diamonds. Here are two men: The Bible says that when we sin in one, we sin in all. The man on my right is regarded as the holiest man in the world. I am regarded as a rogue. His institutions took so much Inca gold that it sits on top of his church steeples while the Mexican people are starving --or words to that effect. I have managed to produce the most doctors per capita of any country in the world, the most scientists, the best yield for crops, the best athletes etc etc--in spite of decades long blockades." Guess what, I do not know what atrocities Fidel has committed but they couldn't be worse than dropping bombs on villages--even accidentally. He has my vote. I make no apologies for that.

I just were thinking of the small DDR car with the name TRABANT, that car was called Freedom Fighter.
DDR = Deutche Demokratische Republic or Allemania Oriental.

His life is open book to all of us. His living ways are exemplary.

There are so many good people that fought for freedom, so it's hard to pick the "best." But two names immediately sprang to mind: Martin Luther King, Jr. and El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz (Malcolm X).

Certainly, Mahatma Gandhi. Not only he fought for our country's freedom but he actually fought for the freedom of downcast people, for the people of uppercast who were caught up in quagmire of wrongful self-righteousness, for the humanity at large.

He fought with himself for all illusions. That's what his autobiography, "My Experiments with Truth" all about.
