Dolphins and Some monkeys are the only animals that will have sex for pleasure. Others only do it for breeding only. So if dolphins and some breed of monkeys do it for pleasure as well as breeding..I would say yes, they would do the other.

I have often come to suspect that humans unjustifiably place themselves above all the other creatures on the planet. I think they should be more willing to share the earth with them as equals and to regard them as fellow creatures the earth, not subordinate ones. I think it may be possible that humans have rather traded in one capacity in exchange for others. The other animals would have other abilities in greater proportion. It may be true that humans are more rational and adaptable for the performance of intellectual tasks. It is also well to remember, however, that human beings are the creatures who appear to be ruining the planet, both politically and ecologically, and are the most likely to destroy it altogether through war. If they do not learn to treat other animals and life forms, including other human beings with greater respect, this presumably superior intellect ultimately will lead them to no good. Rationality can proceed at the expense of instinct and intuition. I personally have trouble with the idea of eating animals. When people take from them and do not give back or even treat them right, they are robbing them. Their wrongful actions will catch up with them at some time.

It wouldn't surprise me if most animals masturbate. I know of spiders that masturbate before they approach their females that are approximately 8 times their size and who will have sex with them but eat them afterwards. Sometimes the spiderwoman is so hungry that she starts eating before she knows that it was a male of her kind. So by handing her a bit of his sperm he may prolong his life a little bit.
I also used to own a cat who'd go crazy on a pink sock even while he was castrated. Then when we would pick up the sock and give it a wash he was annoyed for days until he had managed to make it smell arousing to him again and smell and look repulsive to us.
So I think that it is pretty much common practice in the animal kingdom.

Many animals masturbate. I know turkeys do.
This says that horses, kangaroo, the female porcupine will actually use a vibrator (genius), bulls, goats, sheep, camels, elephants, ferrets, bears, hyenas, lions, vampire bats, walruses, savanna baboons, rhesus macaques, bonobos, chimps, zebras, the list goes on and on.

Kind of a disgusting thought, IMO. But you know how if you get two male dogs together and they sort of, well, you know.....
Monkeys, I think do. And, why do you care? Well, sorry I guess that's your business.

Have you ever seen a dog with his pillow or rubbing on your leg? What does it mean if not masturbation?

Horses get erections and thump their penises against their bellies. Even geldings will do this, and I had a stallion that achieved orgasm that way!

I don't know, really. It kind of makes me wonder why my dog (when he was alive) used to rub his balls on my carpet now. I mentioned it to the vet and he didn't seem to concerned.
