Tylenol (acetominophen) is extremely toxic to the liver if not used correctly. If you can't use it responsibly then please do not take it at all.

Overuse is dangerous. However, unless you have previous problem, 4 tablets would be harmless - but don't take more during the day.

If in doubt just call your practitioner nurse, and she'll tell you.
It is nothing quite major, you are not at live/death risk.

There is an evaluation of overdose here, and its effects on kidneys failure:
http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/apap_od.htm . please note that the alarmism is on doses of 10 to 15 GRAMS. Each tablet contains 200 mg, that means that overdose kicks in with a take of 50 to 75 tablets!!!!

However, it also appears that it can cause also liver failure, at lower dose, in particular if combined with alcohol.

40% of the people on dialysis were put there by improper tylenol use. Medical fact. Just because it is an over the counter drug doesnt mean it is harmless.

Pleas stop abusing over the counter drugs! Maybe ur in alot of pain and think taking more is better but its not. Go 2 ur doctor, get some medicine to help. It probably won't harm you just one time but you likely won't know if it did till several yrs later.
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will make your stomach upset- just like taking any other buffered analgesic. Given TIME, such painkillers will tear the crap out of the liver and kidneys, so use the bare minimum you can get away with ok?
