I've been in a relationship with this guy for nearly 4 months now (AMAZINGLY LONG - for me anyways) and i've lost my virginity to him, met his mum (SCARIEST THING I'VE EVER HAD TO DO - because they're so close) and genrally been perfect girlfriend material ie. never ask anything of him, support him through everything, listen to his worries, help him when he's feeling down, put up wih it with a big smile on my face when me and him are spending time together and all his friends show up. and i mean he makes me feel appreciated and i know he would do anything for me cause he's told me so a hundred times and he treats me like a princess. But last night when i asked him to meet my parents he was sort of like 'ummmmmm.....ok' then said he felt pressured, but he's told me before that he want to meet them. He said he'll do it cause he loves me but he doesn't really want to. should i just cancel it? And am i really being unfair??

Dr. Phil says you train people in your life to treat you the way that you are treated. He needs to "man up" if he is "man" enough to take your virginity, and risk getting you pregnant, he should be man enough to meet your Mom.

Is a fair deal in meeting your parents because you already offered your body to him. Thus, he should more or less bear some small responsibility. He should not use the word "pressured", from this you better monitor his behaviour carefully before he dumped you. As I always said that should a lady have sexual relation before marriage, it is aways the guy in the driving seat. (advantage) No choice, answer for your own consequences for offering your body. Take care and good luck!

I don't think you should cancel it I believe it is more probably that he may not feel comfortable to meet your parents. Maybe u should make it as an dinner invitation instead of meeting parents. The atmosphere will be different between a dinner session and a meet the parent session. Whta you do is correct, it is a matter of time tt he will need to meet your parent so try to make it a more relaxing gathering instead.

Whetever he says, it's probably not a reflection on you, but invite him to dinner with your parents (or something similar). He might just be nervous, so if at first he seems less than eager, give him a little time to get used to the idea first. You've met his mum. This is just the next step.

No!! You met his Mom and he must man up! He knows that he is getting closer to marrage, and is nervous, which is natural. Bring all of this into the open, and tell him that you don't want to rush him, but it is fair. I have never had a woman go through all that for me. You need to begin to ask for things, because one way gets old. Okay?

Why do you want him to meet your parents? Are you planning to get married? He has already agreed to it right? Then go ahead!
However, if you are not planning to get married, what is the hurry?
As you have already mentioned that you have lost your virginity to him, what's the hurry?
You seem to have very little confidence in yourself. Why?

No, he should meet your parents and at least let them know what type of guys you are going out with.
