My 12 year old daughter has got tonsills?

My daughter has tonsills and doctors are saying to get it operated . Can any one tell me what is the cure for it or any medicines for it .

Every person has tonsil. Probably you want to mean that your daughter is getting recurrent tonsillitis. Previously Tonsillectomy was done more but now it is done only in a few cases. Guy, you want the truth? Take her in and get the darn tonisels removed! My parents kept me on antibiotics for years,,,finally I almost died because they WERN'T taken out. At the age of 33 I had them taken out and couldn't move for 3 weeks. If I had them taken out when I was 12, I would have been sick for a few days.
