If cyanide has been used to capture this fish then I afraid that it will not recover but will suffer a slow death. Please report where ever you purchased this from to the authorites so that they can investigate where it came from and how it was captured. This sort of practice should be stopped and most fish suppliers will not use this method of capture. 99% of all marine fish are taken from the wild and marine coral reefs are being destroyed by the aquatic trade, please think about this before you buy any marine fish or live coral.

If a fish was caught using cyanide, there is no way to counteract it. It's inevitable that your fish will die, and more than likely it'll be within a week. I'm sorry to say this, but it's true.

Sorry about your fish.

Yes, as already stated, there is sadly no cure for cyanide. It slowly just kills the fish.

i read that alot of the marine reef-type fish were caught using
cyanide, it destroys their liver(?) and they die slowly over a
period of several months, I don't believe theres anyway to
reverse the damage
