Not the dumbest ever. As was said he doesn't compete with some like Irving. Sure is an idiot though. Also he IS a jock, he is signed to an Indoor Football team and Arena Football(no matter how small the league) is a sport. Yeah it's semi-pro BUT it is a sport. As to squandering his talent I would say YES Ricky William has. Come on Smoking Pot and getting caught 3 times like that. This fourth offense was said to not be Pot so I'll give him that it wasn't. The Biggest proof that HE squandered his talent more is that HE made an NFL team, Clarett didn't.

The dumbest EVER? Sadly, that might be a stretch. He may end up sharing a trailer with Lawrence Philips one day, though.
My problem with Clarett, and guys like him, is that while kids struggle every year to find a way to get through college, he gets a free ride that he squanders.
Frankly, it's guys like him who make a pretty strong case for schools doing away with athletic scholarships all together.

He is making a strong bid to be in the top 10. There are so many others who have disgraced themselves, I'm not ready to give Clarett that "honor" yet. But he's young and still has a lot of time to climb the ladder to the top 10. Barry Bonds is my current leader because he continues to play and get booed every game on the road (I don't know if they boo him in SF) trying to break a record that everyone knows he used steroids to get (if he does end up breaking the record)

Mo was a fool at Ohio State. He proved that he has a lack of common sense and intelligence. I think that he is just showing his true colors, nothing different i would have occurred if the Broncos would have kept him. That boy is going to prison for a long, long time. He is now up for FED charges and not going to deal this away. He couldn't keep his nose clean to stay on the active roster in Ohio and thought he could sue his way into the NFL. Lock him away and throw away the key.

Yup, he is a complete moron. He should of stayed in college, like Tressel told him to do. Now, to all you young kids out there pay attention to how bad you can mess up by not staying in school!
I mean, SHannahan even gave him a chance, and then Clarett demanded one of the coaches to get fired in training camp. He hardly worked out, alieanated himself from the other players, and then he showed up to work out sessions with Grey Goose. No one in the history of sports have squandered so much talent in the history of sports. He should get an award.

I think he got some mental issues. I think he just simply cracked, he worked his life up to the point to get into the NFL and he was great in college and he made a terrible mistake trying to go early. His dream was taken from him all because the NFL blocked him, when you can go to the military and fight in a damn war but you can't play football. So whats really dumb. So I think the pressure just finally got to him. I just hope he can salvage a decent life, but playing football is done. The smarter move would have been for him to go overseas, so I guess he really is dumb.

Maybe not the dumbest ever (which is a long, long time)...there have been a few just as pathetic...but he's certainly in the top five butthead athletes of all time...well, if they decide to do a sequel to Longest Yard, at least we know where to start casting...

He has to be in the top 10. I would rank Barry Bonds above him. Barry is dumb enough to think everybody in the world is stupid enough to believe him. Pete Rose is another example of stupidity in sports. Terrell Owens is another top ten guy. Although these guys didn't squander their talent, they have squandered some amazing careers. Maybe professional sports should open a Hall of Shame.

I would have to agree that not only is he dumb, he probably has some psychological problems as well. How do you go from one of the best Running Backs in college football to high speed chases with the police? It just escapes me why he has made the choices he has made. It has to be psychological because no one with sense would do the things he has done.
