Try to look at an insult as a good thing. Forget about the person insulting you and view the positive side of it.

Well actually when another person insults you it means only one thing, that the insulter has a really big problem he cant handle. And you can be happy you are not on his side of the fence. Because we are higher up the social ladder than he is. He can stay on the ground level for all I care.

An insult is a indication of someone elses own insecurities.
Do not let it get you down I had endure a couple of unbelievable insults growing up because of my height but at the end of the day when the awkward phase left I became the social butterfly the girl everyone wanted to be around.
If someone insults you ignore it because oneday down the line they gooing to get it back and as the saying goes pay back is a @#$%!

don't show them that it hurts you. if you show them it does, they will keep going because they know that it gets to you. finally you would burst either in anger or in tears and they either make fun of you or you fight. if you're weak compared to these ******* then you would want to do what I have already said. when you're embarrassed or heated, that means they have more ammo to use against you, meaning more insults and you're not getting away anytime soon and your ego will shatter. so if you show them that whatever they say doesn't matter, then they wouldn't know what to say next and they would feel embarrassed and stupid. maybe they would get pissed off and use the last resort and fight you, so your a$$ better be running. that's why you need some moderation and common sense. know how long you should be around those people and be calm. go with your instincts. walk away. don't make eye contact. just don't act like you're better than them or stuck up. that gives them more room to talk. but if they say something truely wrong and not just stupid sissy talk, like i'll kill you or talking about some really bad $hit you're going through, then kick them where it hurts. getting some outside help wouldn't hurt either, but it is your fight. Use whoever is involved and attack. or seek a counselor if it's that tough. Only fight if completely necessary. remember, self defense. so, in conclusion, bulk up at the gym. good luck

A person gets the insults becasue they react the way the bullys want a person to react.
Thus.......even if you get upset, don't let them see you react.
This is essential because they keep insulting you becasue you keep reacting. If you don't react they will move on to someone else.

If you want to say something you can just act confident and say something like "gosh, you guys have nothing better to do than waste your time on insulting me over nothing"

Actually you talking to them might make things worse.

It is amazing how far confidence goes. And if you don't have it, then fake it. Don't let them see you react. Put your head up and ignore them, It is interseting that the other kids will look up to you.
It is human nature.

Don't let these insults F up your life ok. We all go through times like that.

I don't let them get to me by simply ignoring them. The insult says more about the person doing the insult than it does about me so there is nothing to get myself upset about.

Have confidence and self love/respect and insults shouldn't be that difficult to deal with. But if its really bad than you can confront the person and commincate you have issues with them. Also I agree with insult them back! Or go back to what we did as children...I'm rubber and your glue, what you say about me bounces off and sticks on you!!!

Sometimes you have to defend yourself against the lies that come with insults. I would correct the insulters and then ignore them.

Laugh at them, and play along.
I am a construction worker and insults are the way we have fun. Just play along like it's a game.

If someone calls you an idiot you reply:
"It's a tough job but somebody has to do it!"

:o)

Consider the source! They are probably a no class person in the first place, so just go with the flow. Like the judge said, "Next Case"

Ignore them, turn the other cheek. It will hurt the person who insults you more. Take the attitude that "Sticks and Stones may break my bone but words will never hurt me"
