The nokia helpline says that 6030 does not support this function. They also tell that data cable and nokia pc suite cannot be used with 6030. On the other hand, I am already using a data cable. Is there a solution ?

First you contact your operator to activate gprs on your sim. They may take sometime depending on operator. Ask them to send you the correct settings for your phone model. They will send you as text message. On recieving save it your phone and activate it. To use as modem check this too . In settings-connectivity-access point. And you will see airtelgprs.com for airtel n internet for idea that depends. Then connect your phone to pc through cable or bluetooth. If you have pc suite its easy. You will see nokia modem option in control panel . Open it and enter the access point there correctly. Then make a new connection with your fone modem . And dial number is *99***1#. Then you will get access to net.

technichly it can work NOKIA 6030:
GPRS Yes, Class 6 (3+1/2+2 slots)
Modem Yes, 24 - 36 kbps
but the modem is slow
If you can't do it just search nokia 6030 modem

constructive adequate you may .,. u can get the info cable from nokia showroom .,., the driver cd wil b presented alongside with it .,, deploy it onto ur comp and then u can use it .,.
