Winter? What's that?
So Cal has 4 seasons: spring, smog, fire, and flood, in that order. After spring, you have 3-4 months of hot smoggy weather, followed by about 3 months when the dried out hills burn down, followed by 3 months when the rains turn the denuded hillsides to mudslides, which brings you back to spring.

Autumn starts on September 23, 2006
and Winter starts on December 22, 2006
it is already starting to cool off from the july heat wave here in the OC.
