Yea buying more ram is an option. But for now go into my computer control panel system then go to advanced and you should see something about video card or visual something of the sort. And you should see let windows handel whats best for my computer (selected) chose performance instead. If you have already done this then I guess buying ram is your only option. I'm sorry I don't do well explaining things like this. Sorry if it did not help.

Okay...theres two things to this...one you have lil RAM and you have to many programs running in the same time....or trying to play a game that takes up to much ram.Two you have viruses that are corrupting your computer and they're using up your memory. Try running an anti virus program like norton or even windows virus protection,Can you also reply or something on how much memory you have? goto start...run...type in "dxdiag" then go down the list till you see memory and type how much you have. Thank you.

its low because you dont have enough RAM. your VM is like RAM but it uses up space on your hard disk instead, so its limited. you can increase VM by going to Control Panel>System>Advanced. Click on Settings under "Performance". Go to Advanced. Under "Virtual Memory", click Change. Click the "Custom Size" radio button. but how much you set it to depends on how big your hard disk is, what programs you run and how much VM was allocated in the 1st place

ps: i am a computer degree dropout

You might have alot of virues installed on your computer. From what it sounds like now, it sounds like your computer might be corrupted. If you put the recover disk in, that would solve your problem for sure.
