The points are incentive for you to want to get to the next highest level. Humans are competitive, YA knows this, so they put the points right out front so everytime you see them, you want them. It's impulsivity to want them, it's important to many of you to be as good as the next person or even better! It's a marketing ploy. You will either be a high achiever or you will simply be here. Now you are level 2 so you must begin using the ratings bar! We encourage everyone who is able to rate rate rate. It's important, and it's why the Yamster invivted us to California! Woohoo, you all sure do live it up in California. We have already found an upscale home where we can live close to both the kitchen and the pool, see how clean our finger and toenails are!

You have an ominous duty now to rate rate rate! YOU MUST when you reach level 2 you must rate, other wise the idiots who say that the yahoo answer changes are not good may get some supporters and us ratings rats will lose our nice job! We have a large family to support, and we would appreciate being able to keep this job, this would not be the first time that Yamster led us down the garden path, but we are trursting little creatures so we do not mind being ratings rats, and livning in sunny CA!

The points are simply to make you WANT to do better, the ratings are to keep everyone else besides you from doing any good! Go for it, we enjoy it and we do not even get paid!

Isn't that what life (without God) is all about. Strive to achieve higher but actually getting nowhere.

Personal satisfaction, I guess.

But leave it to a bible thumping moron to turn ANY question into a god-pushing opportunity.

pretty simple after a newbie uses his point to ask pointless questions insted of trying to be a intellegent part of Y.A
