Its really very Simple. If you buy a mac u can always install windows xp on the same machine. But if you buy a pc u can't install Mac OS X, iLife 06 and all great stuff from Apple and for apple. So, its very easy to decide.U can get a mac instead of a PC and when u like mac u can put windows as an option.

Buying a Mac Advantage:-
- Mac OS X, iLife, easy to use and well integrated softwares
- Less viruses or almost no viruses.
- Can install Windows Xp - same as having a PC in Mac :)
- PC virus can't doing anything to Mac. so even windows xp in the mac is affected with virus still mac is intact. ;)

Buying a PC :-
- No Mac OS X, No great user experience, no iLife, only a pc which a Mac already has in it.
- Virus attacks then whole life is ruined

ps. PLS give me ten points!!!! WOOOOOOHOOO.... sry im hyper.

Depends, the answers may vary, like if you're going to use the computer for.....

Gaming = Depends,If you want Half-life 2, You can buy a PC, but I wouldn't recommend it since...buying new computer just for a game? I mean, Many good games are on Mac, but most open-source, freeware games are on PC.
Graphic = Mac monitors have better colors, and for Graphic works, Mac is a MUST!
Coding = Mac os X or maybe Linux? (Linux = The alternative choice.)

Other = Mac.

Buy a mac, it's safe, secure and works with you, not against you.

that depends on what you want to do.
mac os is great; its a simple operating system based on freebsd.
if you want an operating system that is easy to understand and to handle, that simple works - go for it. if you intend in doing "normal" stuff like word processing, graphics, audio/video, go for a mac. there is free software (called open source :) for the mac, which range from senseless to very useful and productive.

a mac will make your life easy - not too much virus hassle (although there are some virii for mac's), fast operation, not too much security updating (unlike windows every month!).

spare parts are the same as on a standard pc, but the computer itself is slightly more expensive.

the one and only real downside: you won't be able to run windows programs - while most professional programs are available for mac also, this is not true for... games.

so if you intend to game, you need to buy a windows machine :(

macs are cheaper because:

they last longer

Many developers make free programs that will do things windows programs charge you for

No viruses, so no down time, no repair charges and no need to buy an anti-virus
