i beleave i my have an emergency. i had just left the restroom where i discovered that the bowl had blood?

this is tricky to answer only b/c i don't know how much blood you are talking about....

sometimes if your stool is too hard, it can make small tears (called fissures) around the opening of your rectum-these will sometimes bleed. no real cause for concern with these-they'll heal on their own. best thing to do is drink lots of water,and increase the fiber in your diet to help soften the stool up and making it easier for your body to pass.

if the tiolet water is a bright red color and that's all you can see-i would make an appoinment to see the doctor-g.i bleeds (bleeding in the lower intestines) are rare in younger people but can happen. these need to be treated in the hospital with medication and sometimes a blood transfusion. they usually will bleed non-stop as well, not just when you go to the bathroom.

another cause could be Hemorrhoids-constipation can cause these as well.it's the swelling of the blood vessels inside the opening of the rectum-constipation causes these vessels to become irritated and swollen and they bleed. a high fiber diet,lots of water and hemorrhoid medication (preperation H-found at any drugstore) will help


for now i would just drink lots of water, increase your fiber intake (green leafy veggies, beans, whole wheat or bread w/grains), and hemorrhoid medicine if necessary. this should help ease the blood and concern

It could be several things, first were you peeing or was it a bowl movement?

If you had blood in your urine... Go to the Doctors ASAP.

If you had blood in your stool, then was it bright red or dark red. If it was bright red it could mean you broke a hemorrhoid and it was just blood from that.

If it was a dark red then YOU better go see your Doctor ASAP.

was your bowl movement particularly hard, if so you are just constipated, eat more fiber in your diet, like raw veggies. if you are taking a lot of asprin , that can cause it too. if its neither of those, or lots of vitimin c then i suggest you go to a doctor.

Does your butt itch, your butt sore, is there blood on the toilet paper.

Ask your dad he can tell you. If dad ain't around then see a doctor.

DON'T PUT IT OFF...You don't it to be butt cancer and you blew it off and didn't have it checked out.
