But predictably, some people felt the need to show their ignorance by insulting me and my intelligence so this is for those people. If your are so sure that you are correct in your naive assumptions and Government media fed beliefs about this tragic and disgraceful incident, I urge you to do a little independent thinking and research on the subject. I would suggest you begin by watching the video "Loose Change", ( downloadable from Google video), and then at least you may have a better idea of some of the difficulties surrounding the realities in this case. The truth is out there..........

You are the ignorant one friend. There are those of us who know the truth and you are certainly not one. Watching some video proves nothing. I assume you are a Michael Moore fan and that in itself says plenty of your character and intelligence. The truth is out there and you are afraid to face it therefore make up your own.

Just like any news story there will always be descrepancies and information held back by the government. I'm sure that the american public has not been told everything there is to know about 9/11 just as the British public haven't been told everything to do with 7/7. This does not mean that there is a massive conspiracy by the governments but 9/11 was used as an excuse to start the war in Iraq.

I too have watched Loose Change and in fact, their questioning and logic seems pretty decent. However, the guy who made it, while having good intentions, was not an expert at any level. If you want other explanations from other sources on how things happened, search "Loose Change" on wikipedia and the other links mentioned about.

A good point about steel melting at a higher temperature than the fuel can burn... steel heated loses support strength so while it doesnt melt, it can collapse under the building weight. Actually, New York Times came out with an article also around 2001 that detailed some of the physics involved. At least they have credible experts testifying.

Its good you're questioning as it is our right as citizens to get rational explanations instead of getting "oh, classified details (ie, the 7 frames of pentagon "plane" video)" so at least ppl are trying.

The same thing is said about the Pearl Harbor attacks in 1941, that the U.S. government allowed the Japanese to attack so they could enter World War II. Some say 9/11 was a conspiracy and that the Bush regime wanted an excuse to attack oil-rich countries in the middle east. Hmm, it's possible but I don't think it's probable. I think people are over-estimating Bush. He's not that clever to come up with something like that. If it ever emerged that a U.S. President deliberately sacrificed American lives, he would be imprisoned. Also, the damage that 9/11 did to America's image around the world was not worth it.

The US's secret agencies (CIA, military) have done many questionable and illegal things in the arab world to be a factor in the result of the terrorist attack in the US on 9/11.

One of the reasons al-Qaeda attacked us was for the US support for Israel which most, if not all conservative christians support because they don't want muslims to have the land. A very extreme, anti-muslim attitude.

Bush wasn't even concerned with terrorism before 9/11, then all of a sudden terrorism is all he talks about (politics of fear?)... talk about flip-flopping. Bush and conservatives have wrongly taken advantage of the sympathy after 9/11 and it's been gone ever since they sucked the last breath of it. It's very sad what Bush and his people will do.

In my opinion, this is all just a religious war between Christians and Islamists.

As far as a cover-up, the most I would probably give to amount to a cover-up is for the pro-war, conservative military wanting a terror attack so it could get more money for the militarys' budget for various corporate contracts, etc.

I'm not one of these people who will try & look into very discrepency / odd occurance surrounding 9/11. However if you look at most historical events, there is always infomation kept back / classified for one reason or another.
Here in the UK we have the 30yr rule (see how every new year info is realeased to the public record office).

With 9/11 there are bound to be info kept back - we are only 5 yrs away from the event.

I do not beleive it was a cover up. I'm sorry, you can insult me all you like and "urge" me to "research" and what have you, but I do not beleive there is any cover up or conspiracy here.

It seems to me that this theory is subscribed to by cranky conspiracy theorists, left wingers who feel a need to attack the government and "stand up" for those "poor, wrongly accused muslims" and some muslims themselves who cannot face up to the fact that people from their religion did this terrible act.

By the way, the "Truth is out there" quote makes you sound like some sad X Files nut. Typical conspiracy theorist really. Need to get a life.

911 truth thing is gaining some momentum, but http://www.debunking911.com/ does good job disputing/refuting pretty much everything that's found in http://www.scholarsfor911truth.org/

It appears 911 conspiracy theorists do lot of same things people did to go to Iraq.
