Soon is a relative term.. I do think we're in a very grave danger of a nuclear war happening within 20 years. The Muslims want to start a nuclear war because they believe it will bring about the 2nd coming of thier Messiah.. Christians have been looking for the end of the world since thier religion started.. Between the two, the rest of us are going to be glowing in the dark..

It will come to an end.

Reason: The Earths tilt is currently 23.5 degrees, but one thing most people don't know is that the earths axis of rotation wobbles. It's cycle is about every 25,000 years. and we are in the middle of the cycle. This means that in 12,500 years, the earths tilt will be 0.

The implications of this would be that seasons would be permanent, with northern and southern countries suffering a perpetual state of winter, equatorial countries being in a perpetual state of summer.

This would cause wars over food and land. And at some point, I'm sure some jackass would push 'the button' and blow us all to hell.

...well...that's if a stray asteroid doesn't hit earth first and send us into an ice-age...

its very subjective..
time is counted relatively..
how soon is soon?
to human beings who only lived up to a century the most might feel that millions of years later a LONG time..
however, for our earth that has existed since billions of years ago, a few more millions of years might seem short..
So, who are we to say when the world is going to end..
if you believe in god, then keep on believing that the day will come..
but, if you're a non-believer, be thankful you're still alive for yet another day..

I do. Biblical prophecy is either being fulfilled, or progressing to a fulfilled state.

Consider Ezekiel 37:21-22:
"and say to them, `This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms."

Israel was made a single, united, nation, on May 14, 1948. (Mind you, Israel had always been two nations in the past: Israel and Judea).

Now consider Leviticus 26:3, 7-8:
"If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, … You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you."

The biggest complaint in the early days of this recent Israel-Hezbollah war was for "Israel to use proportionate force, and to restrain themselves". And even so, it seems that for every Israeli felled, 5 Hezbollah supporters fell as well. And that *was* with restraint... and what's funny, is the Hezbollah leader proclaimed, "We have won against the *invincible* Israeli army!"... although I wouldn't exactly call it a victory when *both* sides are happy with the outcome... isn't that called a "draw"?

Also consider all the wars Israel has been in since its rebirth. The war of Independance saw all of the surrounding Arab countries attack Israel, yet even so, Israel held off the attacks and increased its land by quite a bit. That's one example of countless battles.

Also consider Isaiah 17 (the whole chapter is relevant, but specific parts are v1, 4, 13-14):
"The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. ...And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. ...The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us."

Now, Damascus (the capital of Syria) is the oldest, continuously inhabited city on earth. It has been besieged before, but never in the aforementioned circumstances, where it is taken away from being a city... completely destroyed in the timespan of a single night because of their crimes against Israel... and the nations (be it the surrounding Muslim nations, or the entire world) shall rush in, in retribution, yet God will chase them off.

Now, I've heard on either CNN or Fox where Israel had threatened Syria, essentially saying, "If you use a WMD against Israel, we'll blow Damascus off the map". And to the best of my knowledge, Syrian troops have creeped up to their borders, making me wonder what it is they plan on doing....

Revelation 16:8-9 "And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory."

Sounds a bit like global warming is preparing us for that plague there.... as if to say, "Ha! You think it's hot now? If you don't repent, just you wait...".

There are many others just like them, that either have been in the last century, are being now, or show potential to soon be fulfilled.

I'll tell you this much, our current generations has seen more prophecy fulfilled than those of the past 1900 years. I will not set a timeframe on how long it'll be before the end, because it could happen tomorrow, or millenia from now. I truly hope it happens within my lifetime, but with each passing generation, my hope can only grow.

Oh, and lemme know when the UN stations troops 10 miles southwest of Nazareth... that should prove to be quite an interesting battle... oh wait... nevermind, Christians won't be here when that happens. It should be truly interesting, nonetheless.
