It is a book by Jane Elliot about how a child was stolen and a trust betrayed.
It’s about a girl called Jane Elliott, although that’s not her real name, who was abused by her stepfather from the very young age of 4 till she was 21!! That’s 17 years of terrible physical, mental, verbal and sexual abuse at the hands of some who was only 14 years older than her. He was meant to love her and look after when he married her mother but he degraded and hurt her in so many ways.
