People like to blame others for their own deficiencies and for what they themselves don't have. If they blame someone else, then they don't have to take any responsibility themselves.

Instead, they'll blame "others" for getting their jobs, for getting breaks, for pretty much anything that's wrong in their own lives. And blaming an obvious minority is steeped in history, so there's a possibility that they might find some support for their position.

People have a sense of entitlement, and they look to blame others when their "share" seems to be falling short.

It's just an easy way to deflect responsibility from someone's OWN shoulders onto someone else's.

Prejudicism says more about the person speaking than about the person they're blaming though.

The following is NOT AN EXCUSE for this behavior - just an explanation.

Genetic evolution has had the need for animals to be able to recognize other members of their own species for many reasons -one being mating.

Another reason is that most species will not readily kill members of its own type. So this "difference sense" allows a duck to avoid a tiger that might try to eat it.

"Difference sense" is in our very genetics. It alarms us when we meet someone who is "different" enough to be a threat.

It is often reinforced by little minds that havent the strength or will to confront it. I believe we are responsible to do that but only to the level that is beneficial. Tigers will still eat us if we dont keep a distance. Its a hard balance to strike sometimes.

Because they grew up that way themselves, racism usually is passed on from parents. Other times, the children realise the parents are wrong.. which happened all the time with me. My dad was married to a black women and had a child with her, so in my family color is.. color it doesnt mean anything. I think it`s messed up when people judge on color, it has nothing to do with anything..

Because it's easy to discriminate against color. psychologically, It's so easy for the mind to see that xyz has a different color and then apply a spurious correlation. Also, humans love to discriminate (hence subconciouslly feel superior). You can't do that with religion as it would become a hot issue and explode. Hence color.

Basically it is fear of the unknown. It also happens because of the way they are raised. Some people break out of that mold and change, but the odds aren't favorable.

Some people are afraid of people different from them, thus they teach their children to hate and discriminate them.

Some, on the other hand, know the meaning of acceptance and tolerence.

As long as there are two people on this earth that are different, they will be racism and even war. It is just human nature.

its human nature. As much as we try to deny it, we are all racist at one point or another. You must remember that we are human beings. And blaming other people for our problems or judging them for how they look is just human nature.
