I don't worry about the leader board, or points. This is just a pretty fun place.

Better than the garbage you get in a chat room. I only look at profiles when the people seem to have similar interests as I, or their answers or questions are especially witty.

No worries, I don't plan on examining your profile!!

I always look at other people's answers as it annoys me when people later on put the same thing as someone earlier on, I only still post my answer if it is at least slightly different, like explained differently or something like that.

I also hate it when people don't read the additional details and try to correct you when you've already corrected yourself or give answers where you can tell the answerer hasn't read the full thing, like suggesting something you've put didn't work or calling you he when you've stated you're a she in the question or your avatar is female.

No, I don't look at profiles unless they're on level 6 or 7 to look at how good their answers are and how long they've been on etc.

Yes, usually. I do this to check to see if what I think I am going to answer is already posted and if it is then sometimes I don't post a redundant answer.
Sometimes looking at the other answers also gives me a perspective about the question that I did not have before, or shows me that I had not understood the question.
In answering I try to respond to the question and not to the previous response(s).

it depends on the question. Sometimes I see if someone has given the same answer as what I have. I also sometimes check profiles, I find it quite interesting.

I usually try and get mine in first and then watch the screen scroll up the others after and have a look then.

I try not to, but sometimes I accidentally do. I won't answer a question when I see a 100% correct answer when it is as detailed as mine should have been.

Sometimes.
It saves typing and keeps me concise.
If the question already has an accurate answer, I don't bother to reply and move on.

No but I read them when I finish. Sometimes the first answer catchs my eye but I don't want their answers to work their way into mine so I don't.
