Why do you attack other's ideology?

Question

I see many people here attacking other's ideology, whether it is religion, values, philosophy, etc. I see Christians attacking the Moslem, I see Moslem attacking Christians, I see atheist attacking Moslems or Christians, or any other beliefs.

Now, please consider this:
In my opinion, if you attack other's ideology, whether it is religion, values, philosphy, thoughts, beliefs.....anything, you are attacking your own ideology, because they are all basically the same, they are all ideas of a better life, according to themself.

So, I ask you all to stop attacking other's ideology. You may not agree with other's but let us not spread hatred over it.

What do you people think? Agree or not agree, and why?

Well,... yeah,... of course I don't refer to normal discussion,... but I refer to those people who,... how should I say? People who talk about other's ideology in such a profane way...

I agree normal discussion... it is refreshing and opens our minds to new thoughts... but in such a profane way? Which I often found here in Yahoo! Answer.

And what I mean by the same is exactly as JHMHSI answer, they serve the same purpose,... You express it better than me,... But I think that it is alright if we aim for the ideals.

The fact that you just said that all ideologies are the same is an attack on everyones ideology. So doesn't that make you a hypocrite?

I think that many attack others ideology, but its okay we all have a right to a personal opinion, its the ferocity of some of these attacks that i don't like and will never agree on, while expressing an opinion there is no need for all that hatred and insults, exprime what you have in mind without insulting . that is only ignorance and much lack of knowledge,one cannot impose their beliefs on another,but should try to put forth their reasons for this belief or ideology,so if we have values this should be one of them , if you want to be respected and considered you should do the same. Sure, ideologies strive for the same purpose, but they themselves are not the same! Besides, it seems as if you have this ideal of a perfect, utopian world where no one fights, and everyone is respected. However, an ideal is something that I was told is impossible to achieve, THUS it is considered an ideal. Communism, as an ideal, is wonderful. Communism in the real world is devastating and catastrophic. Humans are imperfect creatures. Ergo, we fight, we use defense mechanisms, we argue, we do a bunch of things based on personal ideology. That's just how it is because no one is going to yield to someone else's beliefs. Oh, did I mention we're really stubborn? Hehe... I guess that was implied in my last comment, though.

it is not attacking anybody or any religion or belief. it is just telling our point of view. i think u have never done any open discussion. when a question is put to the public u get different sort of answers some of them will agree. some of them disagree & some of them will argue. what is wrong with that ? it is not muslims, christians, atheists or others. it is just showing your feelings & discussing or letting others know your views. if u take it in that spirit u can enjoy this question & answer session. have a heart. be sportive. & enjoy the site. don't take everything so seriously. one more thing i want to tell u is we don't have to agree to other's ideologies. if we disagree that doesn't mean we are attacking. we r just discussing that is all.

Of course you might have considered that attacks as you call them, may just be from others like me whos beliefs are to point out that others are wrong most if not all of the time. It is, as you refer to it as my "Ideology". under the guise of reasonableness you in fact are using this forum to feel superior to your fellow man. why is contentiousness wrong Nancy Boy? Quit attacking those who have the Cajones to have an opinion! And for gods sake quit using generalities ("let us not spread hatred over it") as though they actualy convey some meaning. Damn that new age music! look what its doing to you!
