Long story short, a friend lied to me about something and I caught him in it. Now I don't feel like I can ever trust him again, I want to but I am having real problems. I keep wondering if he's still lying to me, but if I bring it up he gets really mad that I don't trust him. Still, he's like a brother to me. Advice on how to fix this one, anybody?

YOU can't fix it. Only time and him never lying to you again will fix it. If you want to keep him as a friend you'll need to relax and take everything he says as the truth until something he says proves otherwise. Then dump him.

Unless you bring it up, how are you to know whether your suspicion is justified? So confront him. You have to give both you and him a chance to find out the truth, if it is important. If it is just a white lie, then why take it so seriously?

Why should he get mad about bringing it up? Unless he feels guilty about it. It will take time for him to earn your trust again. Give it time, and you'll see. I wish you my best. Good Luck!
