He doesn't but then a female gynaecologist isn't going to be any better at knowing what you're going through - not being in your body, not all women having such pains and so on.

Well I once hear (don't know how true it is) but I once heard that a male doctor wanted to be more empathetic towards his female patients problems so he tied a rubber band on himself for 2 hours in an attempt to get an idea of what period pain might be like. So you never know and he just might know what its like after all

He knows what kind of pain you talk about for ex. have you ever felt stabbing pain? burning pain? muscle pain? anyway, he probably has a vague idea of what the pain is like and can understand it. Alternatively, don't discount the possibility that he could have been a female and then gotten a sex change....or he could be a she-male or hermaphrodite.

He knows that he has heard the same descriptions over and over from hundreds of women and that he has read about it in medical journals. So, when he says that he knows, he means that he understands that YOU feel pain but not that he has felt YOUR pain!

Yea!You are right.I think that now since you said that i want a female gyn!I think that he just wants to get down there! The only person allowed down there is my bf!And that is if my bf is lucky!Well, maybe things will change and men will start having periods and crap and girls will grow d*cks, then he'll know and we can say we know from experience!!!!!!!

your doctor may be a woman before he underwent a transexual operation or gender reassignment surgery so he knows about painful ovaries/periods based on his previous life as a woman. cheers!
