For the sake of argument let’s say that a majority of Americans were Muslim, Now remember this just a LETS SAY, I know Islam isn’t the majority. But if it was and the government decided to make that our national religion, meaning we could have it in schools and public offices Etc..What would you do???? Your family is Christian, and your son/daughter goes to school and they start the morning by bowing to Mecca. How would you feel, even though he or she isn’t required to participate how would you feel. I know I wouldn’t be comfortable with that, Not because I have anything agents Islam. Just because religion has no place in government and I would feel like someone else’s religion was being forced on me. See why separation of church and state is a good idea and a good practice.

Islam is a religion that has great respect for other religions. Even if this were a Muslim country, you would not be forced to pray to Mecca, but to pray as you wish. I am all for separation of church and state. It is against Islam to force Islam on others.

may be I am 1 of a few who would have agreed with you, to separate religion from politics, just like in Christianity, but after reading a number of books to understand Islam; I came down to a simple conclusion that Islam is not only a religion but also a way of life.
It actually brings sorrow to my heart when I see Islam is being blamed for peoples mistakes

I'm Jewish. I went to school back when we saluted the flag, added 'under god' to the pledge, and recited the Lord's prayer (Christian prayer) every day.

It didn't hurt me a bit.

There is no separation of C & S in the Constitution. Read it. You might be surprized.
