Hi! I feel that meditation is almost required this day and age. People live in the fast lane and pop pills instead of setting their priorities right and giving themselves some time to reflect.
Meditation is necessary for emotional, mental, psychological, spiritual and physical health. If someone is stressed, it reflects in their dreams.If they have nightmares, they awaken on the wrong side of the bed. Then they feel cranky and this crankiness is felt by those near the person. It can spread from person to person.
Meditation is many things and can be done in many ways. Meditation is simply "listening" to your soul. Daydreaming is active "listening". You listen to your soul's desires. You create your dream world according to that. Nurturing yourself is something everyone should participate in. Everyone deserves some time.
I use and listen to sacred East Indian mantras, I focus on my breathing, I visualize myself in a location of my choice, I wear colors I'd like to attune to, I burn incense, use aromatherapy oils, wear crystals, I run my energy. And a very good morning to you Oliver you seem to be a very free thinking person I personally have never tried meditation my idea of relaxation is laying on my bed listening to Tony Robinson reading Terry Pratchett discworld novels in spoken word CD,s or listening to blues or jump blues classics very quietly in a darkened room totally chilled out mobile switched off

Iono about yahoo 360 but im buddhist and i meditate everyday. I think its great and gives inner peace and tranquillity.
