I thought this was a cricket question (that is aimed at the two idiots who think that soccer is the only game in this world).
Greg Chappell was one hell of a good player and Captain but he has his hands full if he can make India competative in World Cricket again. The problem in India is the caste system that still survives and the religious problems they face as well in putting together a genuinely great team.
To be able to defeat top world sides you need at least three world class pace bowlers, a good allrounder, two top spinners and the side to be able to bat down to number 11. To do that without infighting in the team is difficult.
Lets say India can get a pace bowler as fast as Shaoib Ahktar from Pakistan and another near his pace and back them up with a
swing bowler (preferably left armer) and have 2 top lines spinners they would be hard to beat in Australia.
Indias batting has always been strong but they still don't match it with Australia for the depth in batting.
Greg is not the answer but I really don't know who is. Only time will tell.

yes he can. greg has already done that and is still in work to get the 'nila yuvaks' (blue youths) perfectly for the wc 2007. he and dravid go perfectly hand-in-hand with each other. greg leads with his strategies while dravid practises those with his superb batting & fielding ability (performances).

Yeah, from the earlier image of unpredictables, who amaze one day and go frigid the other to a well orchestrated self destructing machine
