well, the brain is still a mystery to human
he full capacity of the brain is hard to measure
it is said that human only use small percentage of their brains
i think if humans use 100% of their brain, the effects differs
if you were born to use your brain at 100% then there would be no problem at all as your brain is accustomed to the stress level and the energy requirement to maintain it.
however, if your brain was force into submission of 100% when initially it was only functioning at 10%, then your brain might get overload. more energy is required, so you're body might get tired easily. oxygen will need to be supplied more to your brain, so your heart will have to pump faster and that might lead to hyperventilation.
since your body's metabolism is higher, your body will produce more heat. in result, you will sweat more and if your body cant control the overheating, all the proteins in your body will be denatured, and that includes enzymes that control body function, blood, cell's organelle..etc.
of course that would be the biology point of view. from the psychological view, your brains might conjure false images that your unconscious mind wants. you might "see" things differently. in other words, you might suffer schizophrenia.
and of course, there are some people who thinks that if you use 100% of your brain, you can do things that is quite impossible in real world like break things, fly, move things and stuff like that.

That whole thing about humans using only 10% of their brains is somewhat of a misconception. We may only use a small part each moment, but since the brain is divided into many areas of functionality, we are usually flying all over the brain to access the necessary parts from each area.

However, I would agree that most humans could use much more brain power than they do. I think that some of the great thinkers like Einstein and Da Vinci occasionally got close to maxing their brain power. If it happened to all of us, I cannot imagine what the result would be.

Humans do use 100% of their brain. Wel most of us do. People who believe this urban myth probably use a lot less

1) Brain imaging research techniques such as PET scans (positron emission tomography) and fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging) clearly show that the vast majority of the brain does not lie fallow. Indeed, although certain minor functions may use only a small part of the brain at one time, any sufficiently complex set of activities or thought patterns will indeed use many parts of the brain. Just as people don't use all of their muscle groups at one time, they also don't use all of their brain at once. For any given activity, such as eating, watching television, making love, or reading, you may use a few specific parts of your brain. Over the course of a whole day, however, just about all of the brain is used at one time or another.

2) The myth presupposes an extreme localization of functions in the brain. If the "used" or "necessary" parts of the brain were scattered all around the organ, that would imply that much of the brain is in fact necessary. But the myth implies that the "used" part of the brain is a discrete area, and the "unused" part is like an appendix or tonsil, taking up space but essentially unnecessary. But if all those parts of the brain are unused, removal or damage to the "unused" part of the brain should be minor or unnoticed. Yet people who have suffered head trauma, a stroke, or other brain injury are frequently severely impaired. Have you ever heard a doctor say, ". . . But luckily when that bullet entered his skull, it only damaged the 90 percent of his brain he didn't use"? Of course not. .

Umm hang on.

Plop!

Ohhh......! FLOP!!!

Oh dear I wasn't using much of my brain when I answered this one.
The above joke was because I thought you were asking what would happen if a human could LOSE 100%.

Now seriuosly if a human brain is working hard it will radiate 40W of power. If that is a utilisation of 10% then using it all would result in 400W, that is too much heat. That is if you try to use all at once. There might be wonderful things that we could do if we reached our fullest potential. However the parts we would have to switch off might have us scared. Lets say telekinesis was possible then the part we may have to turn off might be our sense of conciousness. In otherwords we lose all identiy while being a force. Of course it would all switch back but perhaps we are too scared to trust our sub/super conciousness.

The sky is the limit. It's funny that this happened in the show Eureka. A scientist ( I think) stumbles on away to increase the output of his brain processes. He is able to do some things that were deemed impossible. This is all make believe of course because this has yet to happen.

Humans do use 100% of their brain, just not all at once. What would happen if they did, a seizure.

To really find out what will actually happen; I'm willing to give myself to science. As long I can keep doing what I'm doing before we can see results. I have figure out a possible way to maximizing the human brain to expand.

First of all is there such a thing as using one hundred percent of your brain ? if so why would it be damaging to a human if it was to happen to one of us ? I think that if one is able to use one hundred percent of the brain he might just see life in a whole new perspective. Life would not be as difficult as most of us think it is because he or she would be able to see solutions to every problem, of course you will still have those who won t agree but to that one person who is able to see all this it would be great. Is like you just discover that life has its solutions like everything else in life. He or she might be able to tell the world hey slow down. life is fine live it because you will live it again and again and again and again .... see because the world as we know it never ends it repeat it self over and over again, and so do we ...........

you would probably have to sleep a whole lot more, because your brain would be so tired. You probably wouldnt live all that long either, because youre brain would be so exhausted.
