Lets see if I can make sense of this for you. To take something for granted. Granted being the opperative word means to accord as a favor, prerogative or privlidge. So to take something for granted would mean you think of something that is there as your privlidge like your life or your family and its not. Anything can be gone in the blink of an eye. Charish life as best as you can. There are no reboots in life.

To "take something for granted" can be applied to many things, including people, emotions, physical objects, different situations, etc. For example, if someone says you're taking a loved one for granted, then that means that you don't view that person as significantly as you should. That person could be a very important person in your life who, let's say, has supported you in your career or has always cheered you up when you felt bad, but you don't realize how great that person is (because you've been with that person so long, you tend to not think of these things) until something drastic happens like that person dies. That's what taking something for granted means. You don't realize how important something is until you lose it. Of course, that's only one case.

when someone 'takes something for granted,' it basically means that they are accustomed to the person or thing in question, and therefore expect it to always be there for them. For example, a man who 'takes his wife for granted' may be treating her badly, cheating on her or generally disrespecting her, but at the same time assuming she'll always be there to make dinner and clean up, etc.
To take something for granted is to assume it will always be there, and as a result, forgetting to give that thing it's proper respect.

"Taking it for granted" mean that one comes to expect something to exist with no appreciation for where it comes from. Here is another saying in English: "You don't miss the water till the well runs dry." What it means is that we take the water for granted, until it is gone and we miss it badly. You could say that "taking it for granted" means that one lacks respect or appreciation for something that really is important to their lives. Example: "Children take their parents for granted till they have to pay their own bills." I hope this helps.

This is like if you have a beautiful spouse, fine home, several cars, etc....This means don't take all this stuff for granted because you could lose it all. Be thankful for what you have each day of your life.

To take something for granted means to assume it is true, or that it exists or is available without asking or checking for proof.
