He asked me almost every day if I would marry him (for a month). He asked if we should be together when we picked it out and I said yes. He has asked me what size I wear but nothing and no word of when we're going to "pick it out". He was away for a month for work and since he's been back he has only mentioned it 1-2 times.
What do you think?

It depends on your length of engagement I think. For example if my fiance proposed and we both agreed on a wedding three years from now it wouldn't really matter, unless the ring makes you feel more engaged and like a true fiance. I would try talking to him and let him know how much not having a ring is bothing you, and possibly negatively effecting your relations.

Well you should be able to talk to your boyfriend without feeling nervous or out of place or scared or anything cuz if he cares about you the way you think he does you'll be able to talk to him about anything, any time and anywhere.

take him to the mall...walk to several other stores and then strategically walk by one or two jewelry stores. Say you want to look at for items in your birthstone or some pearls...see what happens.
