I've looked it up on the net and they say i should type in ctrl+shift+c then enter "introp censorgridsize 0" but everytime i do that it says "cheat command error" - please help! I really want to see my Sims NAKED!!!

Well, no moralizing here. It's really just silly stuff but I think most Simmers will probably want to see how silly it is at some point and then turn the darn blur back on again (the sims sit on the toilet and pee through their clothes for example). You get to see Simmy butts, which isn't saying much but it is funny. But really, a LOT of work went into the animation of the Sims, it is art, really. Maxis did not make a bunch of "Sponge Bob Square Pants" block butted Sims or give them amorphous blobs for bodies, so it is cute.
Now... the Maxis-made grid censor thingie cheat was removed with the NL expansion (if it wasn't before that) and you asked why. It does have to do with the rating system for the game and the issues it causes on the official BBS because in order for EA to keep that rating and reach more users and families, they need to keep their BBS R-rated (Teen/Family) too - so the grid censor thingie was disabled in the official game.
But a way around this is to download SimPE and use that tool. I will not explain it here but you can download SimPE over here:

I use the program called "SeeThem" for my Sims 1 game there is a new one out for Sims 2 but haven't tried it since I don't have Sims 2 yet... It's freeware and you can download it from the link below.

I don't think there IS a cheat code to remove the blur...
You need to download a hack which removes it. I don't know where to find one, though. Do a Yahoo! search for it.

it does not show them naked anyway, its just like a barbie doll, shows nothing but smooth skin on the males and females

if you want to see your sims naked you won't see anything really you can only see flat but you want to see them sex in the bed move_objects on only while they are having woohoo
