It's not just an online degree program - there are graduation ceremonies a student can attend.

Be sure and check other long distance learning programs at other universities in your state. Many of them are pairing with local community colleges for degree work.

I'm in HR and we generally accept UOP degrees as equal to a traditional university degree.

Where you are at risk is if you are in a battle with another candidate with a traditional degree... I have seen hiring managers take the traditional person instead of the UOP person a number of times.

Yes! - there have been several news programs and internet write ups about it. I actually am attending UofPhoenix and before attending, I did research and found that UofPhx online is viewed as the same value as if you had attended campus classes. The are held alot in the same way and the same material is covered.

In certain professional fields such as Law or medicine, yes. In general, no.

What counts is either you do or do not have a degree and that only counts for your first job. After that its all skills and experience.

yes, this is considered the same... if you were a convict! i know some convicts who got the same online degree! i don't know what the potential employer will think if you get the same degree as a convict!
