i mean did they put certain people through to the end to make the choice for the best less hard. For instance the rapping Granny and the jugglers who did nothing but follow the rythym of some people swaying. Not they are not talented - but they are not talented enough to win the million - at least in my opinion. So does anyone else think they put certain acts through so that it wouldn't be so hard to choose the best in the end?

Bonus Question: Did America put through Quick Change just because Piers made the woman cry? And if so why? i mean he may be mean but he was right ... i've seen their act. They only do the one thing and while it is amazing i've seen it now. Why pay money to see something we've already seen. And lets face it that's what this show is about - getting famous and having people pay to see your "act." So do you think they got through on talent or pity?
My warped mind at work and just want to see what others think.

It does seem they put though the novelty acts.

And yes, the callers seemed to be only interested in voting against Pierce. They did that with Celtic Spring and then again with Quick Change. It wouldn't surpise me in the least if that is why Pierce picked on Quick Change.

And I do know how they do it so it is a bit old seeing te same outfit. Clue, the outfit is how they do it.

I think it is just a popularity contest...a rapping granny might get some ratings, but a beautiful girl who can't sing very well will probably make it farther than the granny would. A lot of the reality shows are jsomewhat cruel to those who don't have the right "look" or if they have different talents than the majority of the contestants. For example there was that 18-year-old opera singer on "American Idol" and she was really good, but she only made it through the first round, probably because she looked somewhat "goth" and a lot of people do not like to listen to opera music.

I don't think they're trying to "stack the deck" but I do think that they are trying to create what they think will be good TV - like choosing Leonid the Magnificient to appear in the semi-finals.

I don't know if Quick Change's victory was a result of sympathy voting or not - I personally wanted to see the other illusionist make it thru.

I agree with you about the Rapping Granny - a novelty but NOT a million dollar talent.

Absolutely. I think they put certain acts that they know will have appeal and entertainment value just to keep the show interesting. And of course it wouldn't be entertainment in America if there wasn't conflict and controversy.

As far as Quick Change. They are a one stunt magic act. Nothing more. Yes. It is an amazing stunt/trick. But how many times can you see it before you start to yak?

Yes. I th ink they put certain acts through just to dis them later.

Quick Change was actually a good act, and probably would have won anyway even without the drama.

Its a sort coach, they only decide on in hassle-free terms maximum of magicians so as because of the fact of this the their replaced into communities final evening so as that they could be judged against the human beings of their team no longer each and every physique. they do no longer decide directly to be American Idol so as that they only take maximum of singers, and that they try this with each and every thing so as that the coach appeals to greater human beings then basically the yankee Idol purpose audience ect...
