marbel's official name is City of koronadal, South Cotabato. it is approximately sixty kilometers north of General Santos City. Koronadal has approximately one hundred forty thousand inhabitants with a cultural mix of predominantly Hilongos from central visayas, B'laan indigenous groups, Ilocanos from the north, Maguindanaoan muslims and other ethnic groups all over the Philippines. the main economic activity of the place is trading and agriculture as it sits in the center and acts as the provincial capital of South cotabato. It is the regional center for the whole Socsksargen region(South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Cotabato, Sarangani and General Santos City). It will host the national Palarong Pambansa slated for next year.
