check for open fuse or circuit breaker. if all are good you have cut a wire in the wall and will need to open the wall and repair the cut. do not splice the wire out side of a box, you will need to have accesses to the box after you are finished.

You were plugged in to a receptacle nearby or underneath right?
You do have a problem.
1- Check all your fuses (breakers).
2- If none are blown, open a 4" round or square hole at the site where the drill went in.
3- You should see the problem if the drill hit a wire. (do this very carefully as there also may be water pipes nearby too).
4- You will have to remove the piece of wire from where it is damaged all the way to the outlet that now dead. (be careful as the wire that you drilled into may be still live) . That is if no fuses or breakers are blown.
5- If you are lucky and the receptacle is straight down underneath the hole you drilled, (better hope the wire isn't stapled to the beam behind the wall and it too will show up when you try to make the 4" hole. (wires usually are attached to beams) (metal studs, 2x4's or other means). [another problem if the wall is an outer wall & filled with insulation].
6- Now that you are discouraged, try calling an electrician. That is the safest and I can tell that you are not.
7- If you still want do it yourself, carefully and you have plenty of time and patience it can be done.
BE VERY CAREFUL AND SAFE.
And last but not least "Good Luck"

You likely hit a wire and caused a short. I did that once, blew the top of my drill bit off, too. But the power stayed on.
