your question is incomplete or you are confused you asked what is green house but you didnt mean green house..what is that
i am going to answer what is green house your first part..
Its the effect...and not the house...neither the color is green
In green house the suns rays can enter the surface but the heat cannot escape so its trapped with only one way of and thats entering
earth also behaves as a green house where the suns rays come in but the heat caused by the fallin of light on earths surface cant escape the earths atmosphere..
In botanical green house...the sun' rays can enter the house through the roof generally made up of plastics...and it causes the heating inside.... but the heat is trapped inside the green house... as the heat cant escape through the plastics roof or walls. Thats why its easy to grow plants there...
sometimes the same effect can be seen inside the car tooo...

the green house efect is where a green house comes from it bacily takes in sun light and holds it there and makes the place hotter

green house actually means group of trees that releses carbon dioxide and other green house gases and these gases does not allow long wavelength sunrays to escape and hence results in increse in temp of that place
