...Jesus would be a Democrat ..after all he was a blue collar worker ((carpenter) and probably a member of his local union hall the republicans are anti union...If Jesus of Nazareth was anything, he was an extraordinary friend of the downtrodden, definitely a Liberal, whose advocacy on their behalf so infuriated the ultra-Conservative religious and political leaders of his day that they had him killed to prevent the public from hearing the very liberal teaching that you will see quoted in Jesus' own words here on this web site!
Those who actually know what the Bible says about the life and teaching of Jesus, should recognize that far from being like Jesus of Nazareth, today's "Religious Right" are much more like the kind of clerics who battled this revolutionary prophet from the day he opened his mouth until the day they had him nailed to a cross.

Jesus wouldn’t be of any political persuasion. ALL Jesus was and is interested in, is pointing people to God and salvation. That’s why He came and that’s why He sacrificed His life, rose, and sits at the Father's right hand. He intercedes on behalf of God’s children.
He was NEVER interested in HIS own good, did NOT suffer from any sort of pride, avarice, or deception. He only cared about saving mankind.
There are good and bad things about BOTH parties. Jesus was and IS perfect and wouldn’t fit into either one!

Your question would have to take into account the entire Bible, or at least the New Testament.
Or else, Christians would say that you're only using bits and pieces of scripture.
When Jesus comes back, the Bible teaches that he will rule with a Iron Rod.
To answer your question, He would be neither. When Jesus returns, it will be a Theocracy -- a Theocracy based on the Word of God.

No. Yes.. Jesus is a benevolent dictator. It will be His way OR the lake of fire when He returns. That is not the reason i try to live in Christ.. Just being near His loving presence helps strengthen me and keeps me at peace. He gives me joy the world cannot take and He protects my family in ways I could not even imagine.. And I didn't do anything to deserve it,, Just recieve , believe , and love it!

I don't believe Jesus would fall for being cornered into either party. To do so would cause a deterioration in the standards of conviction and beliefs.

it has been said that Jesus was the first socialist because He encouraged people to live in communities with and for each other i don't think His teachings reflect almost anything of the "Religious Right"

Jesus wouldn't have participated in politics because he would have known that a room of corrupt men and women are unable to make sensible decisions. That is why they can't get along. two gangs with money fighting over territory. an elephant that represents greed of man and a donkey that represents stubbornness to think they can change the world.

I think religion and government are hard to compare due to the vast categories they belong to. Jesus's idea is "salvation" of humans. This is hard to even try to compare with our Gov., because it falls into the category of world on earth vs. "life by faith through Christ."

He would be neither....I don't even think he would be independant...but I know he would be outraged by low-voter turnout....misscounted ballots....fixed elections and the whole "americian way" and with his ability to "incite" his audience I am sure he would be doing 25 to life for some conspiracy charge that stuck to him like gum on his sandels!!!
