Two corrections dear Axl R.

First it's not the jews who attacked but the Israeli army and second they did not attacked Lebanon but Hezbollah.

This being said, this is a long term plan to eradicate Israel by his Muslims ennemies and the response from the Judaic State. Fortunatly for Israel, theses ennemies cannont unite among each others. So they are somewhat weak and disorganised, compare to the military organisation of the Hebrew State.

It is a complicate story that last ever since before Christ. And it got worse since the official creation of the State after WW2 by the British and the Americans(officialy supervised by 11 country at the UN; Australia, Canada, Guatemala, India, Iran, Netherland, Peru, Sweden, Tchécoslovaquia, Uruguay and Yougoslavia) in 1948.

In reality, what you have to know is that the Palestinians where dominent in the area back then and we're forced out of there without further questions.

It would be like taking Paris off France and packing it with New-Zealanders, how would the French react? They would do anything to get it back.

I am here trying to answer a question that even our beloved rulers cannot solve, I strongly suggest to you to read news and history sites about it, because there is no real answer to your question. I could speak about causes for a long time but there is no solution to this problem.

Just hope that Syria and Iran don't decide to jump Israel, and we should be talking about it for some time to come, otherwise........

I agree with the comment saying that Jews did not attack Lebanon but ISRAEL did ....
They say that they attacked Lebanon Cuz Hezbollah (Which is a resistance force and not a terroristic one) kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers !!!!! So Israel decided to cause the death of over 120 other soldiers (According to Israeli official records) + More than 1500 wounded + Lost of three military planes + Tens of the Advanced Tanks of Mirkava (Newest generation) to liberate those two soldiers !!!!!!!!
I feel surprised that some people still beleive that Israel attcked to liberate the kidnapped soldiers or to destroy Hezbollah power.
The Two soldiers are still kidnapped,. Hezbollah still has its force but he gained the support of All Lebanese and arabs who love Lebanon and would like to liberate it from the Israeli occupation ...

Ask Bush. Bush and Olmert both have made fools of themselves and degraded US in eyes of many nations and people, particularly after their latest Lebanon misadventure. US has lost its diplomatic persuasion with most of the Arab countries. What have they accomplished after killing so many innocent civilians including children ( Israelis and Lebanese ) and devastating a beautiful country ? To ensure an effective defence, which most of the Arab armies are incapable of doing, Lebanon should induct all the Hezbollah fighters into the Lebanese army. This may deter Israel from picking on Lebanon, which it has done 4 times uptill now. US has become an unwilling partner as this tail is capable of wagging the dog

"The Jews" did not. The free nation of Israel defended itself against an attack by the free nation of Lebanon. While both nations have elements of their government with strong religious connections, neither nations motivations are solely religious in nature.

They attacked Lebanon because they thought they could beat Hizbollah and get rid of this organization forever because it threatens Israel. Information showed that Israel was planning to do this war but in September, so when Hizbollah kidnapped the soldiers they thought it's the proper time since this way they can blame Hizbollah on the war.

the "israelis" want to get rid of hizballah, they were waiting for an excuse to attack the country and force the lebanese to disarm them because they wern't able to do so on their own. from the start of the war their strategy was to cause as much pain and devastation to the country so that the people would turn against hizballah. they said so on the flyers they threugh over the cities. unfortunatly that didn't happen. all the massacers turned the whole of lebanon against the israelis and their plan of terrorizing the people into submission backfired.

Israel militarly occupies libaneese territory (Chebaa Farms) the libaneese are resisting that occupation. The Israelis thought they can destroy everything in lebanonincluding the resistance without any "resistance". hey were stupid and lost militarly so they started killing Innocent civilians hoping they will turn the libaneese agains the resistance they were wrong there too. Now they're left with the shame of loosing against a small group and the crimes they have to answer fo in front of the International human rights bodies ...

Jews attacked lebanon for several reasons.
1. to kill the women, children, elder and free dom fighter.
2. to grab lands .(sheeba farms belonging to lebanon under israel control where settlers are being settled)
3. No one could stand in front of them against israelies terrorism, attrocities.
