Use Biore blackhead strips after a nice hot shower. Also, you can use St. Ives medicated apricot scrub as a daily facial cleaner - it helps to keep the blackheads away. After you wash your face, use an astringent every day. My favorite is Neutrogena. Do that twice daily. Hey, blackheads are normal - just make sure you clean your face 2x a day. Only use cleansers in teh evening, and in the morning, use a warm wet wash cloth & finish with the astringent.

First get a wash cloth (make sure it's new or very clean) and soak it in hot water (the hottest you can sustain), place it on your nose or entire face for a minute or less at a time, do it 3-4 times (this is to open your pores), then use a nose strip (I prefer Biore), after about 5 minutes remove the nose strip and wash your face with warm water, after that grab some tissue fold it and gently squeeze the rest of them out. Try to make it habit of at least once a week so they don't get to the point where they're noticeable. Good luck;)

I would just say make sure that your removing your makeup once the day is over with some sort of cleansing pads. That is- if you wear any makeup. You could also try buying blackhead peeling strips. Blackhead peeling strips are quite easy to use as all you have to do is wet the nose area, stick on a strip, allow to dry, and then peel it off.

I use three things that all work very well.

Biore nose strips.
St. Ives Apricot scrub.
Clean N Clear Deep Action Creme Cleanser.

I'm 20 now and haven't had a blackhead since I was 12.

Blackheads are oil from glans on the face. The black color is caused bu the outer oil surface oxidizing. Which has a black color. You could wash the area with a strong detergent. or a detwergemt pluse a mild abrasive. Or you could squeeze them out. if you do make sure your hands and nails are really clean. to avoid infection. The scientific way to take care of them is to buy a comedone extracter at a large pharmacy (chemist shop), and follow direstions. Comedones are the fancy mmedical term for blackheads. Shomberg Corporation is one manufacturer of them.

Take your index finger and thumb and start squeezing around nostrils. If you squeeze hard enough, you'll see those little blackheads spurt...well ok they don't spurt it kinda comes out like very tiny worms, but it's a low tech method.

Wash your hands thoroughly BEFORE and AFTER.

Biore strips are good, as mentioned before, but who the hell would wanna pay 15 bucks a pop?

Removal of the skin bumps or plugs by a dermatologist or certified beautician or by oneself (if possessing the skills to do so)
Use of gentle exfoliants
Application of benzoyl peroxide in anti-acne products.
Phototherapy with blue/red light
Frequent, thorough cleansing of the skin with quality facial products.
Removal by using adhesive facial strips.
Using a steel blackhead remover tool called a comedo extractor.
In cases of severe recalcitrant nodular acne, by the use of the drug Accutane (isotretinoin).
