Before you take a ride out to the facility try and get a hit in for about 45 minutes to loosen up. Shower eat light. Arrive early. look at the draw. Just see who you are playing do not look ahead into the draw. You want to take it one match at a time. Bring A lot of water . A few extra shirts on change of shorts and two pairs of underclothes including sox, Bring shoelaces and a deck of cards and a book in case in rains , Bring your I pod. Stretch a bit , but you should do that more after the match , check in find out when you will be going on. If time permits take a jog to break a sweat again. Try and stay loose , listen to music. Carve out your own space in the crowd so you can focus. Check your rackets to make sure a string has not popped inexplicably in your bag. Get on the court take your time setting up your area and bring a towel back with you so you can wipe off between points and stall with that after long points. Good luck.

tennis.com is a website that has all sorts of anwers. Plenty of rest, the right diet, try to scout your opponent or find someone who knows what their game is, get to the tournament a little early so you can relax your mind. Know what your strengths and weanesses are, and finally, WEAR THE RIGHT CLOTHES. Too many juniors are more interested in fashion statements than clothes they can put on and forget about, especially the girls. They are always tugging and pulling on the low rise skirts and shorts, and seem to forever have problems with their tops and bras. Forget it about all this - wear a baggy t shirt, loose shorts and kick the butt of your opponent. You may not get the fashion award, but you will have a better chance at walking away with the trophy at the end of the tournament.

well about an hour before ur match eat pasta, that is the best for a tennis match( doesnt give u cramps). and for maybe 5-15 minutes go to a tennis court(just before u leave for ur match) and warm up so when ur on the court u feel comfortable and ready
and just before ur match starts do a few basic stretch, maybe jump rope and stretch out ur arms and wrist and legs
thats really all u need to do, and make sure that u have all the water u need, and raquets.

if its a really big tournament, then i suggest u practice everyday(which u should do anyway) for maybe 3-4 hours

keep practicing. i would practice you serve for about an hour. then hit with some one for a while. practice your slices inside the service box. then after ten or so minutes go half way back. hit there for ten or so minutes. then go all the was back and hit there for about fifteen minutes or so. then go back up to the net and hit some reflex volleys that is when you volley back and forth with out letting the ball bounce. do that for about ten or so minutes. then do some over heads for ten or so minutes. do that every day and you should be fine. if you can find a tennis club or if you already belong to one see of you can do some private lesions with a pro for a while that should really help.
