its radio interference.. because the walkie talkie uses the same radio wave principal for communication. thats why every one whos around you with a walkie talkie will be able to hear what you are saying. but you wont be able to hear yourself on the radio because the frequency of the radio is different and limited but the walkie talkie has a wide range of frequency convergence.

You are crossing frequencies. Most walkie talkies come with various frequencies that you can switch just for this reason. It happens with cordless telephones often too. I used to use one in an apartment complex a few years ago and could listen to other people talking! Once I had an inexpensive cordless phone and it would on occasion even pick up someones baby monitor! Funny, as well, is that it happens in microphones too because they share the same frequencies. I remember playing a gig and the inexpensive mic that I was using had music from a local radio station coming out of it. This frequency crossing is common so just change the frequency or get a new walkie talkie set that has the ability to change it.

I have the same problem with my computer speakers! I thought I was alone! I seem to hear one side of a guy's conversation on his CB radio. I think that we just happen to operate on the same frequency. I don't think there's much you can do about it except buy a new walkie-talkie. But you don't really want to do that, do you? You know you turn it up and sing along when no one's looking! Just kidding! :)

If it is little kids songs chances are it is little kids playing on there as for the how part that is a mystery, just listen to it its not like anyone would make fun, (i want to listen to it). You dont know how lucky you are (you know your singing along) or you could change it . i would sing along no matter how dumb it is because im bored. and nothing is good on the radio cept commercials. Or you could be just think your hearing things but your not, your probably in the twilight zone, or did u have a couple of drinks today? just kidding have fun
