red kitten heals =)

OORRR...haha....peep heals that are red, blue or maybe even yellow if you're tan. Make sure the peep toe heels are also sling-backs. That's what makes them sexy i guess...oh and have fun with them....in other words....flaunt 'em.

Red shoes will definitely make you stand out. I think pumps would be a little too heavy with a cocktail dress. Try an elegant strappy sandal instead.

If the shoes are the focal point then everything else should be simple. Don't wear a large red purse or scarf to "match" the shoes. This would be really distracting and a bit tacky. A simple clutch would work.

I would stick with black, but try for something snazzy. Open toe, ankle straps, decorations, maybe some gold or silver (depending on the jewelry you are wearing) stitching to stand out.
While red is hot right now, when your shoes don't match your outfit, it can look tacky. If you are set on red, get something to accessorize in the same red. Maybe a scarf, shawl, or wrap. Even your jewelry can reflect the color to give you a more complete put-togeather look than just the shoes.
If it is a true cocktail dress, it's around knee length. 2-3" heels here, not platforms. I'd go with closed toe for the sake of your hose, but something strappy. Maybe a rhinestone buckle if you stick with black.

For a cocktail party, I would say the slingbacks or opentoes. For a business event, I'd say the pump...not in read though. If it was winter, the red pumps would be fine for the cocktail party...unless you're someplace like Southern California...in which case you'd pretty much want to wear an open-toe sandal heel

No red shoes - stick with black or metallics! Red high heels should never be worn with a cocktail dress (unless its a red one!). Strappy black heels are always great. Slingbacks are elegant, open toes if you're not going anywhere (like dancing) where people can step on your feet!

I have a pair of silver sparkly heels (open toes, very strappy) I wear with black cocktail and wear white gold/diamond jewelry. I got the approval of my Mother, who is a fashionista (not to mention an old school socialite). If I get Mum's approval, I know I'm flawless.

Yes, red is the new HOT color with black!! Open toed for the remaining summer season totally hot!! Or even cute strappy ones if you've got the gams!

But a fair warning, as soon as the weather starts to cool...DUMP the red shoes!!!

So don't go and blow a huge sum of money on a pair since you probably won't get a whole lot of wear out of them.

I would go with silver or gold--match your jewelry. Open toes--bright red polish on the toenails and fingernails.
