It's not so much a question of appearance for me. I need to have full peripheral vision for certain sports. So, I prefer contacts. If I could afford Lasik surgery, I definitely would do it.

When I first got contacts, I felt weird leaving the house without my glasses on. Now I feel weird if I wear my glasses outside the house. I prefer the contact look.

I HATED wearing glasses, so wore contacts most of my life. Had lasik done and it's so great to be able to get up and see.
Maybe if I had help in choosing a pair of glasses that looked great on my face, it would have been different, because I know of many and have seen many where glasses look wonderful.

Yeah I do. A couple years ago I had to go to bifocals and it still messes me up a lot, I've tripped on more curbs and steps because the line is right where I've always looked to see where I'm putting my feet. I should probably just say to heck with it and get regular glasses for distance and reading glasses but wellllllllllllllll. That'd be like too smart for me I guess.

I prefer the way I look without glasses, but I have to wear them. I've been wearing glasses for so long I have grooves etched in the sides of my head.

There is a great advantage of wearing glasses since they help increase your concentration level even if your eyes are not weak. If glasses are a little small in shape, they help to keep your head steady, and they make you look mysterious(tinted glasses), serious(power glasses) and cool(beach glasses).

I've worn glasses since 1988. I'd really love to wear contacts but they're expensive.
Besides it's not the glasses or the contacts....it's the person wearing them that's more important.
Peace.

OMG! I used to hate wearing glasses so bad. I thought I looked like a librarian or velma from scooby doo. I didn't have to purchase a pair until I was 30 and I had to get used to it. Now, I don't mind wearing them at all and switch with contacts from time to time. I do have to say my ex-boyfriend used to tell me how sexy I looked wearing glasses and that sure gave me a whole new outlook!!!

Without! And who doesn't hate wearing glasses? Ever notice how many people wear contacts? But I won't try contacts because I have sensitive eyes. :-P
