Back in my day there was this song called "Chicago" by Crosby, Stills, and Nash. It was about the "Chicago Seven" and how the judge back then stiffeled them by putting tape over their mouths and handcuffing them to their chairs.
The "Chicago Seven" were on trial for inciting a riot...I'm pretty sure. I'm not positive. That was during the Vietnam war when there was a lot of protesting going on.
These guys were railroaded by the judicial system.

Pick up a Talib Kweli or Mos Def album. Common's Like Water for Chocolate is hot too. Not all Black men talk about rims, chicks, and liquor. Talib just came out with Listen!!! you should listen to it.

i immediately thought of two songs by Randy Newman. "Political Science" and "Rednecks". Definately check those out, especially "Rednecks". you have to listen close though.
