i took b.c. pills before, and i stopped taking them about 3 months ago. I saw my doc today because i have been having irregular spotting for a few days and this has never happened. She gave me a pregnancy test and it was negative, she said the spotting could be because of me stopping the birth control, but i quit long ago.

also, i have had really bad breakouts over the past few weeks, and my moods have been really bad, i have been a real bi***! I told my doctor about this as well, and she said that she may recommend that i get back on birth control. i dont really want to go back on the pill, the reason i stopped taking it is because i think it was making me gain weight.

i guess the question is, does anyone know if b.c. pills can actually improve mood swings?i know they clear up your skin and make your period more normal. also, is there anything i can do about the weight gain issue with the pill, is there another hormonal thing to try besides a pill, i exercise, but still gain!

My skin got really bad when I stopped the pill and got an IUD inserted... PMS from HE!! too! I am married, have one son, and don't want any more children for a long time, and so I changed "tactics" because I have a health problem, and a lot of the meds avaiable don't get along with the pill so great. The result is somewhat irregular pds with spotting at ovulation, acne, PMS, and an otherwise much healthier feeling me.

you should go back on the pill or ask the dr to give you a pill with less side effects. except for the weight gain you felt much better right? you could also take a mild weight reducing pill to keep the weight off as well

BIRTH CONTROL PILLS DO NOT MAKE YOU GAIN WEIGHT!!!! BIRTH CONTROL PILLS HELP TO BALANCE THE HORMONE LEVEL IN THE BODY. AS FOR THE MOOD SWINGS, THIS HAS ALSO GOT TO DO WITH HORMONES, YOU WILL FIND CLOSER TO YOUR PERIOD, YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE SENSITIVE AND BITCHY AT THE SAME TIME.
