My school is in the middle of band camp season, last week, this one, and next. But "my friend" just came, but we're outside all day for about 10 hours, including a quick dinner break, and a few stops to get water. Anyone have some advice on what to do with handling not having any/many bathroom breaks?

Try using a tampon. Most will last for up to 6 hrs, and if you must, you can leave it in for up to 8 hrs. You can adjust for your flow by getting different strengths. And if you have leakage issues, you can wear a pantyliner. If your section leader isn't giving you bathroom breaks, talk to your band teacher and complain. My sister went thru 4 years of hs marching band and is in her second year of college marching, and she NEVER had this issue...

PS- She also did a summer of Drum Corps, and STILL never had this happen. You tend to march funny when you have to pee really bad, and drum coprs are really picky about form.

Depending on how heavy your flow is, get one of those multipacks with all the different strengths in them, and when you have that wear the one that fits your flow, and wear a pad underneath it. Because sometimes it can get heavier.. alot heavier.. Once I wore a tampon during gym class, and i leaked everywhere... so wear more than just a tampon if you don't have many bathroom breaks. And I agree with the other girl, COMPLAIN, people need to be a little more thoughtful to the fact that a girl has girl things. Hope I've helped. Good luck.

God bless.

Just to be safe, use a jumbo tampon and a super maxi with wings. I can do this and go for about 10 hours during a super heavy flow. If you are still uneasy, talk to your section leader or band director. Just remember to stay well hydrated because blood lost is also fluid lost.

use a tampon along with a pad or pantyliner so you don't leak. If that don't work then talk to your teacher and ask her to go, she Must understand.
