first, how did you manage to get a driving test with no insurance? in the state of louisiana, you'll be turned down so fast for no insurance. they look that up first thing before you even take the written part of the test. i don't know of anyone having a flat tire while taking their driver's test. but i am glad that it worked out for you. Congradulations!

Wow! That sure made for an exciting day, didn't it? I pulled up to my first stop sign and the car died. I got it started, but it would die if I took my foot off the gas (and it was an automatic). It was quite a challenge, because at that point in my life I had not driven two-footed.

I made a left turn where it was illegal to turn, didn't look in my side mirror when changing lines, and parked on the middle of the line on the parking lot, and I still passed. He looked so scared and I said "Don't worry, you're with me." and he said "You're passed. Just don't drive yet until you learn how to drive."

I knocked over a garbage bin and I still got mine, the instructor said it was his fault for making me reverse park behind a car that was parked crooked.... but never heard of a flat tyre.... I still reckon that the bin jumped out behind me though.. lol

Never heard of this, but you lead a charmed life. Of course, the tire was not something you could anticipate nor prevent.

OMG, no I have never heard of that. Poor thing. But at least you passed. My mother flirted with the cop and she thinks that's why I got my license.

My younger brother while going for his red p's had the same thing happen to him and he also passed, apprentely it wasn't his "fault" that he got a flat tyre

If they fail you, then you can sued them for "deliberate ill intention in profiting customers by providing defective examination car".
So, they got no choice, but to pass you.
