I think so. I can definitely see in being a Donovan McNabb style quarterback. He has a strong arm, isn't injury prone like Vick and seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. I expect good things from him.

Yes. IF:
1. He learns the offense
2. He doesnt try to use his legs too much. This is the mistake Vick made. Micheal Vick thinks hes a running back and thats why he got his leg broke. If Vince Young understands that most NFL defenses have a plan for running QBs and he learns to adapt then he should do ok. As far as his throwing mechanics, people make too much of a big deal out of that. As long as Young makes his completions then stuff like that wont matter.

For the way he helped Texas win the national title, of course he will be an excellent quarterback.

He can be. He just needs to work on his mechanics, and learn to stay in the pocket and let the play to develop. He;s got a rifle of an arm, and can be dead accurate as seen in his first pre-season action. As long as he is patient with the system he is in, and learns how to read a NFL defense, he'll be spectacular.

Unless he is willing to change his style...no. It is rare for a predominately running QB to have a long, let alone, highly successful career in the NFL. It is obvious he is a gifted athlete but that does not guarantee at all success to a top notch NFL QB.

I'd love to see it, and I think he will make it. But, it may take him 2-3 years to hit his stride...not many qbs just step in and excel as Roethlisberger and, I guess, guys like Brady and Marino did.

i think that vince young will be mobile, and will eventually develop the ability to pass reasonably well. i think the greats have an innately quick release. like culpepper he will be better than average, greatness is yet to be seen......

HE CAN BE BY A GREAT PRO FOOTBALL PLAYER IF HE LEARNS THAT MAKING PLAYS WITH HIS FEET ALL THE TIME WONT MAKE HIM GREAT.HE HAS TO LEARN TO BE A DROP BAKCK POCKET QB AND ROLL OUT AND MAKE PLAYS WITH UR FEET WHEN IT IS NEEDED OR UNDER PRESSURE.
