I'm 5 weeks along and am extremely tired, urinate frequently, and am starting to get morning sickness. My breasts have yet to hurt but they are extremely itchy. It's wierd because my breasts usually hurt anyways (I'm 27 and they decided to start growing about half a year ago) but they aren't hurting now but they do appear to be getting bigger (just a little.)

this usually happens with the stretching of skin... sometimes having too hot a bath can cause this, dry skin even the fabric of your bra can cause it
use coconut butter... will also help reduce stretchmarks
your skin can become very sensitive when pregnant
even when your stomach grows... that will also get itchy
at least when you are pregnant usually your nails will grow really well... at least that will come in handy with all the itching

As your breasts grow and your milk ducts become more active and full of milk they will itch and hurt like mad. I experienced the same thing when I was pregnant, except that my breasts hurt so bad when it was cold out that I had to put a breast pad in my bra for the extra protection from the cold. Don't worry the itching will stop in about nine months, ha ha.

The itching is the skin stretching. Don't scratch or you'll tear the under layer of the skin and cause stretch marks.

Peace.

I experienced this with all of my pregnancies. Ask you doctor if you can use hydrocortoesone cream. My doctor told me that I could buy it over the counter. Or if you prefer not to use medications as some women do you may try Aveeno antil itch lotion with oatmeal.

They're itchy because they're "growing." If you haven't already, better get some very good anti-stretch mark cream and apply regularly.

I had that also. I just used itch relieving lotion. There were times that I also used head and shoulders shampoo to wash my breasts when they itched. Sounds funny, but it worked.
