While I can't suggest where to locate a DVD, just want to chime in on and say, yup, remember that show. Sad, but it WAS better than anything on "Sci-Fi" Channel, which totally SUCKS rotten eggs. The creepiest episodes were the ones where a "V" alien impregnated a human female and she gave birth to a hybrid "V"/Human creature.........

YES, I remember it! It is on DVD, at least some of the episodes are. Robert Englund (not sure of the spelling of his name) played a human, and he later went on to play Freddy in all the 'Nightmare on Elm Street" movies. The aliens were lizard-like. That was a great show--years before it's time.

It was a mini-series from 1983, not late 80s. They actually showed it on Starz not too long ago. Eating the guinea pigs was just gross (but really funny, with the bad elongated lizard faces)! The special effects just weren't that "special" (okay, not that horrible for the time, considering it was early 80s).
Its available on Amazon.com.

I remember they were reptilian-based. If I am not mistaken, the first time we're let onto that fact was when, just before a commercial, we saw some blonde guy eating a mouse. It ran for a week and it was about them coming down to colonize Earth but that we won. There were a bunch of turn-coat Earthlings, too.

I remember the show. The guy who starred as Freddy Krueger was in the show, he played an alien. Check Amazon or Suncoast to see if it's out on DVD.

This was a fun show. As others have mentioned, Marc Singer was the star. Robert Englund of "Nightmare on Elm Street" got his start. What struck me about the show in retrospect, was the parallels between itself and the movie, "Independence Day".

'V' was cool for a lot of people, especially those who couldn't get their science fiction fix in those years, myself included. The entire series has been collected on DVD and is available on several web sites. Just search V in quotes, followed by DVD on your search engine, and the sites will pour forth by the truckload. Marc is also touring the fan conventions, and recently appeared in Chicago--my town. He was very nice to my friends and me. If you like his performances, try 'If You Could See What I Hear' I hope this helps--happy hunting. (Incidentally, Marc still looks great) B.

It was a Television Miniseries. SciFi showed the whole thing a couple of months ago. If you keep your eye on the listings you may be able to catch it on SciFi channel again.

Awesome show. I own The first half of the show on DVD, but can't find the second half. First half titled V the original mini-series. The main thing that sticks in mind about that show is the aliens were reptilian under their fake skin. Classic show, and very under appreciated.
