It is probably an infection of some sort, as the other posts say. A fishy odor is the most common "aroma" associated with bacterial vaginosis, which may occur during a woman's period, or whenever the ph in the vagina is off. Yeast generally doesn't smell, and trich infection is very strong, with a greenish discharge. Ask her, for her health's sake, to make an appt with the dr. Otherwise, you may just be over-sensitive.

Yeah...tell her to make sure she washes herself down there. =P
Seriously though, she may have a yeast infection...not necessarily a sign of poor hygiene. If she has redness and itching as well, then she needs to get checked out, or just invest in some good cream and clean often.

I know of only two women who have had this problem. Both had a tampon stuck high in the cervix. See the OB/GYN.

It may be what she eats. Make her drink lots of water and not have to many green foods before you guys have sex. Thats all I can think of. Good luck to you.

Have you tried scented lubricants? Also, you might have her watch what foods she eats prior to intercourse, you could also try making love in the shower?
