it can be a combination of things, it might be that your tubes are not clear or it might be that you honeys sperm is not strong enough or he is not producing enough. I dont know anything about your lifestyle but I do know that marijuana lowers a mans sperm count extremely and can cause infertility despite all the people that have gotten pregnant while using. If thats not the case at all with you guys you really wont know what is the cause until you go see a doc. Like everyone else says you do not have to be married to get help and you certainly dont have to go to a fertility specialist until you ask your obgyn and he see's his doc maybe even a urologist. If they can't figure out what is wrong w/ you then you will have to see a fertility specialist. You could try invitro but we all know how expensive that is and you might then have to wait until you are married because most insurance companies wont cover stuff like that, espically if you are not married. Dont give up hope though and if you honestly honestly want a baby together you should think about adoption. There are a ton of kids out there dying for a family. I have a close family friend that has adopted 4 kids and there is nothing wrong w/ their fertility they just decided that there are plenty of kids out there without homes. I know you want the experience of being pregnant because every woman wants to know she has that option even if she decides she doesn't ever want kids. Like everyone else says common law usually recognizes a couple being married after so many years. Here in Vegas they consider you married after 7 years of living together. Go to a fertility specialist and tell them your married no one is going to ask for a marriage certificate and a lot of women these days keep their own last name. Dont give up hope things will all work out in the end, but remember there are plenty of options out there if you want kids. There are also plenty of women that just happen to get pregnant on there own after 10 years of trying, and they have no clue why it didn't happen sooner because doctors couldn't actually tell them why they were infertile. Usually when you are trying and trying it doesn't happen because god doesn't want it to happen yet. Try having sex just for the pleasure and try to not think of could this be the time we create a child and truly enjoy just being together, clear your minds. I know easier said then done but thats usually when people get pregnant when they finally say ok I'm done I've had enough when it happens it happens and if it doesnt I will make the best of the situation and look for other options. Good luck and like I said dont give up hope.

I completely understand what you are going through. No sexual Positions will help it's a bunch of crap. Going to a Doc is fine they will not look down on you for not being married. Plus you need to see if their is any reason you cant get pregnant. It might be some thing small like hyper- thyroid, or something serious like hpv cancer or other things. Going to the doc is the bet route. I am speaking from my heart! I am hyper thyroid so my hormones were out of wack I take a pill and they are fine. This has been an on going problem I have been wanting kids as well now I have found out I have HPV the can serous kind. So now I'm taking that journey as we speak. Thankfully I have caught this soon or who knows the permanent results of this. Please see a Doc I am not married either now a days the world is so cultured, You will not be frowned upon. Take care, and take health of yourself!

Never heard of a specialist refusing people because there not married, in some states living together for more then 2 years is considered common law marriage. But you can be tested each of you to see if its your eggs or his sperm that is the area of difficulty. If its him he can try I know this does not sound true but worked for me and my girlfriend(no my wife) and I take cold baths as cold as he can stand it , it will increase his count. And have sex less often believe it or not. The sperm needs time to build up the stronger sperm are around if he waits a while before having sex again.

I'm not sure I'm following you... a doctor will evaluate you for infertility even if you're not married.

Barring seeing a doctor, though, I'd suggest having a semen analysis done on your partner. There are even home sperm count kits. At the very least you could eliminate that as a potential problem. The other thing I would suggest is reading Toni Weschler's "Taking Charge of Your Fertility." Charting your cycles offers you the ability to spot some potential problems on your own. You'd be able to determine for yourself when and if you're ovulating and even note problems as specific as a short luteal phase. If you spot something treatable, you can help your doctor fix the problem.

You need some extra help. There could be something wrong with both of u. Some fertility issues are easy to fix as long as u seek help. So if u are serious about getting pregnant whether u are married are not u should talk to a doctor. Good luck I know how bad it feels.

First are u tracking ovulation? Second go see your gyno for a check up. They can take blood to see if u r actually ovulating. If not there are medicines like clomid and glocophage to help u ovulate. After doing those things give it a good six months and if not your gyno can check to see if your tubes are open. Then he can have his sperm checked. After that your dr. can tell u where to go next. Good luck and relax it will happen when its meant to be.

are u sure u are the problem?
How about ur hubby?
U try to monitor your menstrual cycle and have sex on the days u are fertile. Lets say our cycle is a 28 day period. Start counting on the first day of your period as Day 1to 28. On day 9 to 18 its ur unsafe days. Your ovulation is on day 14. You can have sex any of this days. and try to exercise the knee chest position each morning. It will realigned your eterus if u have a retroverted one.. and let your hubby eat eggs and protein to enhance his sperm count. Get an ultrasound something might be wrong with your uterus. Get a sperm count of ur hubby. Goodluck dear.

if you have been living together for most of the 6 years then most states consider that a "common law" marriage and you can see a specialist. in the mean time ask your ob/gyn about alternatives

Have your doctor check your thyroid. But, if you are not married getting pregnant right now might not be the most ideal thing. A child is a big responsibility. God knows best.
